Twin Sphere Records

Philosophy

From the room to the equipment to the vibe, Colton Ford designed Twin Sphere to put the technical aspects of the studio behind the scenes to bring the true qualities of the music to the front of the production process. By selecting vintage style analog and tube equipment, the goal is to use beautiful equipment to capture the nuance and beauty of the musical performance. Some of the equipment is designed and custom built in-house to meet the needs of a beautiful, personal recording experience that reflects itself on the final tape.

The Studio is built to be able to hit the red record button and fade into the background in a comfortable environment for recording. From the microphones to the custom tube console to the equipment, the goal is a beautiful sound that will capture the aspiration of the violinist, string quartet, to a full band with drums and electric guitars.

Instead of adding something to the recording, TS hopes to bring out the best of the musician’s performance.

Colton Ford

A guitarist by trade, Colton Ford began producing music that is full, rich, hummable, and engaging. With an ear for full-band music, his tastes are organic and real, which carry over to the recording and production of his tracks as well as the design of his studio.

After seven years playing and writing in Nashville specifically in music for sync licensing, he has left to build a studio from scratch to meet the needs of boutique artists, passion projects, and his own sync work.
